Seven Brides Brewing: Everything You Need To Know (2024)

seven brides brewing

Seven Brides Brewing is a quaint brewery located in the heart of Silverton, Oregon, known for selling delicious craft beers by the keg.

Let’s take an in-depth look at the location and see everything it offers.

About Seven Brides Brewing

About Seven Brides Brewing

Oregon didn’t have microbreweries… until Seven Brides Brewing came in to change that. In fact, Seven Brides Brewing was the first professional brewery in Silverton, Oregon, and its optimal location gives them access to fresh hops, malt, and yeast. [1

This craft beer business venture (which started as a fun hobby) became widely successful among locals and tourists alike, who became intrigued and enamored with their quirky beers. One of their best-sellers, Oatmeal Ellie, sounds like it should be light and grainy — instead, it has dark hints of chocolate and coffee, with a light body.

Of course, Seven Brides tries to give back to the environment every chance they get. They make their brewing process as environmentally friendly as possible by recycling cooling water and donating their spent grain to a local farmer to feed livestock.

History

The founders of Seven Brides Brewing are three brothers and two uncles who used to brew beer in their garage as a hobby until, eventually, the salesman of the group admitted “it was good enough for selling.”

When they decided to launch the business, they had to think of a business name. They named it “Seven Brides” after their seven daughters (collectively), and jokingly said they would have to sell enough beer to finance their daughters’ eventual wedding days. Also, fun fact: each daughter has a beer named after her.

Seven Brides Brewing is known for its extensive craft beer selection, whether that’s on tap, in a keg, or bottled. They use locally sourced ingredients, like hops, malt, fruit, nuts, and yeast, to craft pilsners, IPAs, stouts, and porters.

Of course, beer is only as good as the food you pair it with. Their breakfast menu, which comprises classics like Eggs Benedict, Avocado Breakfast Wrap, and Beer and Brown Sugar Pancakes (made with Emily’s Ember Beer), is available from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.

For dinner, it’s a mix of everything: tacos, nachos, wings, pasta, and burgers. You’ll also be delighted to know that they have multiple event spaces available in their location, which can accommodate small groups of five up to 200 people.
